Hi, I'm Patty Avery. I have been a licensed massage therapist in Florida since 1997. (My massage license # is MA24300 and my Establishment license # is MM34028.) I offer a Therapeutic Massage and a Deep Tissue Massage. Both are designed to fit the needs of my clients. In the Therapeutic Massage I use my knowledge of Swedish, sports, hot stone, geriatric, and orthopedic massage techniques, Arthrossage (a massage developed to help prevent and treat the discomfort and degeneration of arthritis), Structural Energetic Therapy, and Reiki to create a treatment to meet the client's needs, be they relaxation, reduction of pain and tension in the muscles, relief from stress, or improvement of circulations and range of motion. In the deep tissue massage I use deeper slow strokes and direct pressure on contracted areas to release chronic patterns of tension , spasm, and trigger points. My massage therapy career actually began in 1989, when I became an Ayurvedic technician. Ayurveda is an ancient healthcare system of India. Several specialized massages are a part of its rejuvenation therapy. In 1995 I came to Florida to care for my 90 year old father. Once here, besides becoming a massage therapist, I started taking watercolor classes. When you come in for a massage you will see some of my paintings and photos of murals my husband and I have painted as well.
