In December 2019, my landlord, Thomas Burinski in Bulverde Tx, threatened to kill me and bury me on his property because, after 7 weeks with serious electrical issues in my unit, I told him that I was going to exercise my legal right under the Texas Property Code, to "repair and deduct" the cost of hiring an electrician to correct the electrical issues. This threat was video'd by another tenant, I called the Comal County Sheriff's Dept and filed a complaint of making Terroristic Threats against my life, was given a case number and was told it would be a couple of weeks before the case would be filed, 6 weeks have passed without anything being done. Naturally, I was in fear if my life and vacated my unit as soon as possible.
I secured a new place to live 35 miles away, and then learned that this man has previous charges of making physical threats against others. Why does the Comal County DA' s office NOT take this seriously??? How can a man threaten to kill someone, bury them on his property, and get away with it. I was in such fear for my life, I spent every cent I had to secure a new residence 35 miles away!
I guess I'm fortunate that I was able to come up with the $3000 needed to move or I might be dead and buried right now!
