Bought a 2003 Ford Escape about 6 weeks ago. Test drove it. No warning lights. Brakes seemed fine. Hardly any body damage. So I bought it. Brought it right to an inspection place and it didn't pass. The guy's promise is "I'll make sure it passes inspection". I call him up. There's some sort of electrical issue. He tells me to bring it to his mechanic. So his mechanic "fixes" it. I bring it back to get inspected and it passes. So great that's better. About 3 weeks after I bought it the ABS light started coming on when I was driving. Then it would turn off and randomly turn on again. About 3 days later my check fuel cap light comes on. I bring it to Advanced Auto parts and they check the gas cap. The fuel filter neck is completely corroded. Rust all the way down. They tell me it is causing the cap to close incorrectly and my truck is emitting gas fumes. 2 days later the check engine light is on. I call the "dealership" and he tells me "well you bought it. Now you fix it. Do you even know what the ABS is?" I said yes I do and he said well most people don't even know how to use it anyway. It's just a sensor." How did he automatically know it was the sensor? So I had it looked at by a mechanic. The mechanic tells me the front and rear passenger side ABS sensors are broken and the truck can't tell how fast the tires are spinning. I said "how did this pass inspection?! There's no way I caused all this in a few weeks". He said that the guy that sold it to me clearly wiped out the war
