John-Michael was in a severe car accident. For seven years, he went on his own transformational journey surviving seven major surgeries. He also recovered from a traumatic brain injury and having a one-percent chance of recovery rate. He has returned to private practice as a mentor to other survivors of serious illness and accidents. Dr. John-Michael Zinn developed his Personal Empowerment Guide therapy approach over a 30-year period. He is one of the few people in the nation to receive a doctorate in transformational psychology. John-Michael spent a six-year mentorship with Dr. Hal Stone, author of Embracing Ourselves and the originator of voice dialogue. Dr. Zinn is the author of A Training Manual for Voice Dialogue and Dream Work. In addition, he is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, certified in Ericksonian Hypnosis, and holds an international certificate in Career and Life Coaching, and Trauma Resolution. Trained in Jungian Dream Work, Dr. Zinn also studied alternative forms of native American shamanic healing. "The most effective healer is the one, who has had to heal himself."
