I would NOT recommend HSPartners to any small business owners or anyone who needs a quick turnaround on their project. We hired David Huerta from HS Partners as an architect for our business on Feb 4th, and during our initial communication, we were told the project should be finished within 2-3 weeks. It's been more than 3 months since then and we are still not able to move this project forward. His unprofessional service, lack of communication and severe delay put our project and business in great jeopardy. I wish there are more reviews on the platform so I know better before I make a decision. That’s why I’m writing down all these details and hope this will help other small business owners. We signed the contract with David Huerta from HS Partners for our business on Feb 4th. He agreed to draw architectural plans for our new business and told us project should be done within a few weeks. During that initial time working with David, it already shows some problematic symptoms. For example, he was ignoring us and was not replying to our calls, texts or emails promptly. He would usually get back to us after a few days. To me to answer emails/calls within 48 hours should be a protocol for any business. Even when you are busy, this should not be an excuse for ignoring your clients. A couple of times we scheduled meet onsite but he had to cancel and rescheduled. At first we were thinking that there might be some emergencies that he had to handle and we understood. We decided to continue working with him although at that point we already had some bad feelings about him. We were able to get the initial plans from him in mid-March and we sent it over to the city for review. We heard back from the city for feedbacks on April 1st and forwarded to David Huerta for response. Almost two weeks after we sent the city’s reviews to him (in mid-April) we got a reply from David saying that he was really sick but should be able to take a look at it soon. We understood and decided to be patient. We waited another 11 days and followed up again (on April 21st), still we didn't get a response from David Huerta. We waited for another 2 days and emailed/texted him again. This time he was able to reply to us and said he was trying to find a MEP engineer because in the city’s reviews one of the requirements is to provide MEP plans. We understood and waited for another week. At that point it was already almost a month since we received city's feedbacks and sent to David for revisions, but still we were not able to respond to city. We decided to go ahead and find a MEP engineer ourselves. On April 28th, we had a call with David Huerta and discussed a few details on how the plans should be revised. During the call David told us since the changes are minor, he should be able to get the plans ready the next day. But again, he failed to keep his promise and we didn’t get anything. On May 4th, we followed up again and David sent an email and told us the plans would be sent to us later that day. Until today we still didn’t get the updated plans. In fact that was the last time we ever heard back from him. Since then, WE LOST CONTACT WITH HIM COMPLETELY. We sent quite a few emails and texts to him but he ignored all of them and there’s no reply at all. We called him a few times but not able to get a hold of him. We are extremely disappointed with the service David Huerta and HS Partners provided. Actually I am personally shocked that David Huerta just ignored his client completely and this is after we paid 90% of the contracted service fee to him. He failed to complete our project and failed to keep his promises. At this point we had to hire a new architect and redraw all the plans and resubmit to the city. We started our contract with the landlord in February and now is in May we are not able to move anything forwards because of this. We wasted 3 months of time! And I am so mad at how David Huerta and HSPartner treat their client! We filed a complaint on BBB against his company and we ask for a 50% refund. But up till today we still hear nothing from them. And the thing is if they are not a BBB accredited company they are not even required to respond to us. At this point we only wish this detailed review can benefit and help other small business owners and no one will go through what we went through.
