I hired Jerry Fleming as a subcontractor to perform excavation work on a residential project. During the course of his work, Mr. Fleming caused clear and documented damage to the homeowner's roof while operating his equipment. I immediately contacted him to inform him of the damage and requested that he take responsibility and complete the necessary repairs. Despite multiple follow-ups, he refused to take action. Due to Mr. Fleming's refusal to address the issue in a timely manner, I was left with no choice but to make the repairs myself at my own expense in order to meet project deadlines and honor my company's commitment to the homeowner. I notified Mr. Fleming in writing that if I had to carry out the repairs, I would hold him financially responsible. After completing the work, I sent Mr. Fleming a detailed email stating that the repairs were finished and that he would be billed for the full cost. I also gave him a clear 14-day window to make payment before pursuing small claims court and placing a lien if necessary. Instead of responding professionally, Mr. Fleming replied with multiple unhinged, hostile, and vulgar messages-including personal attacks, slurs, and baseless accusations. His behavior was not only completely unprofessional, but outright offensive. This individual's refusal to take responsibility, combined with his aggressive and unprofessional communication, is a clear reflection of why he should not be trusted in any professional setting. I've documented all communication, damage, and repair costs, and I am fully prepared to pursue this matter through legal channels. I strongly caution anyone considering working with Jerry Fleming or his business. His conduct has been disgraceful and utterly lacking in accountability or integrity.
