This company secured the bid work in South Logan County for rural water. The job was suppose to be start at point A and go to point B. Some things held the job up for them to start at the beginning, so they decided to start at the end and work backwards.I personally se no issue with that because it keeps production moving forward. My home happen to be the only one on the circle that they were installing a 2inch water main on and I have an asphalt driveway. Now I did ask the foreman, before they got to my property, what their plan was to cross my driveway because it is asphalt. I was told repeatedly that the plans called for everything to be trenched so I decided to leave and go to my job. The next morning before I left to go to work, I stopped the Foreman again and asked what their plan was to cross my asphalt driveway. Once again I was told what the plans had called for. I left again but this time I decided to phone my friend at rural water, who happens to be the top guy there, and informed him on my encounter with JAG and what the foreman had told me. My friend informed me they would fix everything back to original once they had installed the main. That evening I pulled into my driveway at night and I was greeted with a speed bump at the end of my drive. I grabbed the flashlight and could see the chunks of asphalt that was pulled up by their trenches. These guys did not even take the time to saw cut my driveway before they trenchesd right through it. That was the first mess I saw. I walked my whole front yard and saw a p8ece of sand rock that was as big as my 3/4 ton truck i was driving. I was amazed at all the destruction that had occurred in my front yard. I am fully aware of utility easements and do not have a problem with them wrenching through my front yard. The only thing I ask for is once they are done please restore it back to the best of their ability to original. I do not look for perfection but when you scrap the gravel off of our road and dump it in my yard to mix with the dirt you are backfilling with, I start to have a real big problem with that. I own a nice expensive Spartan ZTR mower that I paid a bunch of money for 2 years ago and I am proud of that mower. I do not want to be .owing my front yard and hit a chunk of sand rock the size of a basketball and destroy my mower. Long story short, they came back to try and level my front yard out after 3 months of it looking like a crash course with speed bumps spaced 5 feet apart. They did attempt to level up an area about 10 feet wide by 40 feet long. They did an "alright" job but left 2 feet round sunken spots all through that area. This was one spot the tried to level up. Oh yea I was meaning to ask them about the other 400 feet they did nothing with but once again, they have disappeared into the wind. Be very cautious if you decide to go with this company on your next big or small project. They seem to not have any pride in their worksmanship.
