I couldn’t seek help from anyone – it was past midnight and the towing services I called told me ‘regretfully’ that they didn’t extend services outside the heart of the city to inaccessible locations. For a moment, I considered abandoning my vehicle there and taking a cab or a ride back home. But the freeway was completely empty and so I ruled that out. Dave drove up all the way to the ‘inaccessible’ location within ten minutes. After that, it only took him minutes to unlock my vehicle.
