Schastea is yours Schasteâ is a casual, full-service tearoom and creperie with two locations: one on Broadway, in Providence’s trending west end area, the other located in Cranston’s quaint Pawtuxet Village. Serving primarily as a minimalist-style tearoom, Schastea is fashionable, wholesome and worldly. The growing list of over 50 premium looseleaf teas is meticulously sourced and comes from all corners of the earth. Each unique tea has distinct health benefits and all are available for purchase in bulk for guests to enjoy at home. Schasteâ also features an affordable gourmet menu consisting of sweet and savory crêpes that satisfy breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert appetites. While still offering French classics, the selection of crêpes is truly unique in that it draws inspiration from many cultural cuisines. In addition to its tea and crêpe service, Schasteâ makes its own tea-flavored ice-cream and tea-infused baked goods, as well as providing non-crêpe options that include breakfast sandwiches, salads, daily soup specials, French press coffee and other specialty drinks. As the entire menu is made to order, any crepe can easily be made to satisfy gluten-free and vegan patrons by simply requesting our alternative batter. Schasteâ (shass - tee - ah) is an experience; the name was conceived from a Slavic word meaning happiness, joy or a feeling of light-heartedness and contentment. Schasteâ is chill but upbeat, and embraces a zen-like energy that stimulates and leaves you refreshed - once you’ve felt it, it stays with you - Schasteâ is yours! We encapsulate this philosophy via our tea ritual which emphasizes the simple beauty of tea and encourages presence of the moment. Schasteâ aims to provide guests with a sophisticated and sensual yet casual experience that leaves a lingering urge to return. The Schasteâ Crew is happy to be a part of the community and invites you to experience their “Schasteâ” with them. Whether you are seeking a quick pick-me-up, or looking to slow down and watch a hand-rolled tea bloom, Schasteâ can provide in-and-out service or be a relaxing escape just around the corner. The first and original Cranston location, formerly known as The Elephant Room, provides a warm, relaxing atmosphere that features bistro and lounge seating. This location additionally serves specialty tea-infused cocktails along with a thoughtfully selected list of beer and wine.
