Generally we liked Comcast SERVICE, meaning the service we received at our house. The cable, phone, and Internet services we received worked pretty consistently in our area and given our options, we would much rather go with them than Fairpoint. However, we have had a NUMBER of problems with their equipment. The last time we got a cable box from them, I ended up having to return it a few times because it would not turn on. And calling the Comcast tech department got us nowhere this last time. Luckily, I work really close by so while it was annoying, it was less so than if I worked farther away. Like I said, though, this happened numerous times where the equipment would either be or seem non-functional until I had to call their tech department at the national number (something I hated doing). When it works, it's smooth sailing generally. Outages were few and far between. After having service for a few years, we eventually cancelled all of them and now have Netflix and Hulu streaming through our Wii. I do miss all the newer movie choices on their On Demand service, though!
