Through our company, you will have nurse consultants that have extensive nursing experience in acute care, non-acute care, and administration. Summary of Qualifications of Mr. Richard Flores: ➢ Eleven (11) years of nursing experience in emergency nursing (medical & mental health), critical care, administration, bar code medication, electronic medical records, hospital flow, policy and procedures, and patient standards of care qualifies me to have an understanding of the total picture. ➢ Continuing nursing risk management experience reviewing medical records along with being a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant qualifies me to quickly and cost-effectively review cases in any medical and nursing specialty in compliance with standards set forth by, but not limited to, The Joint Commission, Long Term Care Institute, and the Office of the Inspector General (OIG). ➢ High level of involvement in the conversion of the Electronic Medical Records within the Emergency Department and integrated hospital-wide use of the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) with programs and improvements in bar code medication administration, the Emergency Department Integrated Software, and the electronic Bed Management Solution. The experience will ease the pain of deciphering records that often are confusing to interpret and seem unrelated to each other. ➢ Involvement in nursing administration for seven (7) years allows me to address all issues encountered by clinical nurses at the bedside. Additionally, experience addressing issues pertaining to staffing, accreditation, policy and procedure, and the inner workings of a hospital from the ground up. ➢ As a Masters prepared nurse whose focus of study was on The Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals and with my work in Nursing Risk Management, I can quickly identify all relevant policies and procedures for any type of medical-related cases. Plus I can quickly determine whether they are consistent with recognized standards of care.
