I just didn’t want to call my car dealer again to replace the faulty key fob. While technology was great, I’d gotten so used to locking/unlocking my car remotely, the lack of it was driving me nuts. Somehow, the replacement key I’d got managed to break in about two weeks. The worst part was that it just didn’t break at some random place, it broke inside the lock. Apparently, such stores use low-grade material and improper techniques to cut keys, hence, the absurdly short life.
