Bright and fun handmade crafts by Claire Jacques, an artist based in St. Louis. I make random and whimsical clothing, jewelry, accessories, and toys. If I told you, I'd have to kill you. (Just kidding.) I was born, raised, and live in Chesterfield, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis about 30 miles west of there. I hold a bachelor of arts (B.A.) from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. The focus of my higher education was graphic design, mainly because most reputable universities don't offer degrees in doodling, which is my first and truest love. I've always loved art, so almost as soon as I heard Etsy existed, I started selling my unique artwork here. Never looked back. If someone were to ask me what I do, I'd have to tell them, I wake up in the morning, make messes all day and then clean them up in the evening. Any saleable art that results is just a by-product of me making messes, and I scrape it up off the tables and floor, list it on Etsy and hope for the best. Seriously, though, I'm very proud of my work and am absolutely thrilled about each and every piece that sells. I'm a little sad to part with them, as if each one were a lovingly-raised purebred kitten that I hope goes to a good home. Take good care of my babies!
