Award-winning and certified trainer Marti Hohmann has been training dogs and their owners for more than 11 years. Marti earned a PhD in English and American Literature from Harvard University. However, she realized what really mattered to her - training dogs. After three years apprenticing in medicine and behavior at animal shelters in New York City and Austin, Texas, she earned a Certificate in Training and Counseling from The San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers and never looked back. She helps her clients train family dogs, earn rally, obedience, and therapy dog titles and credentials, and develop reliable hearing alert, service, and therapy dogs. She has earned AKC obedience and rally titles with herown dogs, Lark, a border collie, Prue, a rat terrier, and Fizz, a poodle.
