Dr. Mumtaz enter the room she was rude to my husband and me and ask questions then interrupted me when I tried to answer her. I got fed up with this and told her allow me to talk so I can explain symptoms. Dr. Mumtaz hands me paperwork for an outpatient surgery endoscopy procedure but neglected to inform me she would be performing on me but I thought it would be a surgeon other than her. Also I asked her to prescribe a medicine that's been working for my acid reflux she said it wasn't cover under my health insurance but it was when I called my insurance to confirm it was covered and I called the office back and spoke to Dr. Mumtaz to rewrite a new prescription of what I asked for. There are two things she has done is wrong lie about insurance not being covered and no mentioning of her doing the surgery. Upon arrival to outpatient clinic this is when I found out that Dr. Mumtaz is my surgeon and she made a comment before surgery if you don't want to be here then don't be here. I made up my mind and told her off in front of her staff and got that IV out of my arm and got the hail out of there. I can't have this rude insecure doctor perform any surgery on me with that attitude knowing she could purposely hurt me and caused possible death which borders on malpractice and the medical board needs to be informed. I also notice by the comments on here that the Caucasian patients vs. non-Caucasian are treated better. My husband and I were treated like poor people of color with no respect at all.
