Working with Onyx was an absolute nightmare. Time and again there were communication issues. Gihan showed up to the site months after I thought our cabinets ahd been ordered only to start taking measurements. When he arrived, he asked to borrow a tape measure, a pencil and the architectural drawings I had already sent him 3x. The work was also very dissappointing. The extent of which I'm still discovering after he has been paid in full. He sent electricians to my house who cut of access to necessary switches, left exposed wires sticking out of the walls and made a giant mess. The worst part was his attitude though. When one of his workers was injured on the job, requiring stitches, I called him to ask for an update later to make sure the worker was alright. Gihan thought it was hilarious that his worker had been injured. He was easily triggered when his subpar work was pointed out. At one point his team installed the kitchen island in the wrong location (again, there were architectural drawings) and when I spoke with him about it, he nearly threatened me - he kept repeating "It's not smart to talk to your contractor this way". Needless to say he was the only one yelling during that conversation. Every conversation became an opportunity to yell at and verbally abuse me. By the end of the project, all communication had to go through the HUD consultant. Stay away. Absolutely not worth the hassle, disrespect and poor quality of work.
