My experience with this business is disheartening and disappointing from start to finish. Initially, I tried to make a time change to my first appointment, but due to an unexpected change with my babysitter, I reached out twice to reschedule in advance, hoping for a smooth transition. Unfortunately, I was met with silence. Lisa Hanning, who I assumed would value her clients' time, never bothered to respond to either of my text messages. In hindsight, that should have been my cue to look elsewhere, but I foolishly went ahead with my appointment, even paying double for a last-minute babysitter.
Upon arriving, I anticipated a professional and rewarding experience, only to learn that I would only receive a brief 15 minute session. I was prepared to have my entire chin, but she only did a very small part in the middle of my chin, the least of where hair was. Afterward, Lisa informed me that my next appointment would be the following Saturday, mentioning that she would book it before her trip. Since the appointment was in four days, I offered to pay for the next service right then and there, believing that this would secure my spot. I even said it out loud, "since it's only in a few days four days, I'll pay now" and she of course gladly took the 50.00
However, when I returned the next Saturday, I was shocked to find out that I was not booked. A lie. Lisa attempted to convince me that my appointment was actually for the following. I distinctly remembered our conversation, but she insinuated that I must have misunderstood her. It felt like an attempt to shift blame onto me, especially when she wondered out loud where her 2 PM client was. Her lack of accountability was glaring as she suggested that not receiving a confirmation text somehow absolved her of responsibility of accepting money when I said to her "since it's only in a few days, which was four days, i'll pay now."
Determined to make it work, I accepted her lie. I paid her 50.00, trying to maintain some semblance of goodwill despite the mounting frustrations. Of course, I showed up the following week, only to be met with an empty space-she had canceled my appointment just two hours prior, with a flimsy excuse. I left disheartening, not mad or angry. But what the woman told her is that "I left upset and that I didn't want to come back," which was a lie, I'm not sure Lisa made up or the woman told her. I was sad because her told me to text Lisa. I knew wouldn't do anything because she had never responded to previous texts.
I waited until the following Monday, two days after the abrupt cancellation to text her, when I would be able to come in for my appointment. Of course she didn't reach out to me, however, after my text she called me and said, I thought you wouldn't want to come back...and so you thought you weren't going to immediately contact me to tell me when I could receive my money? She agreed to refund me, yet when the funds arrived, she shorted me 5.00, only returning 45.00 When I texted her that, of course, like usual, Lisa Hanning didn't respond.
In the end, Lisa's lack of communication, failure to honor appointments, and inability to provide a full refund for services not rendered left me deeply disheartened. I cannot recommend this business if you value reliability and professionalism. Save your time and money; there are much better options available that truly appreciate their clients.
