After almost 3 years of loving this center, it has been very sad to see their quality of care go downhill so far so fast. In less than 2 months we went from loving their care to no longer trusting them with our child. The last straw for us wasn't them offering care credit amounts for 5 star reviews or even being contacted about DSS about the care we were receiving as we did not know what prompted this (though in hindsight three years of trusting a place should not have allowed us to overlook these things). Instead it was the fact that they got short staffed and suddenly my child who has not napped regularly for 2 years was being sent home for being disruptive at nap time but after talking with him he also was not being given quiet time activities. I have explained in detail to future potential preschools (including the one we ultimately selected) about reports of him not napping and not sitting still on his nap mat and then refusing to be punished for it. Not only did no other centers view this as an issue, most has written policies against trying to force a child to nap. The fact that even 1:1 they admitted they can't keep him in an office was ridiculous. Frankly in hindsight I'm shocked it took this long for him to have any sort of "issues" there as ever since he transitioned to preschool last August his classroom assignment has been all over the place. The fact that I shared write ups he was given with other potential childcare centers and other professionals in the field I know and it was agreed his behavior was age appropriate and expected is beyond frustrating. If you would like to spend a lot of money for a center that is unable to handle three-year-old behaviors in a preschool classroom then this is the place for you. Once I toured other centers with my child, and he even realized there were better options out there, he became very vocal about not wanting to go back to the school and it was very hard to justify to myself finishing out the two weeks that require you pre-pay at start. In the last week that he attended, he was sent home three of four days, and I did not send him the fifth day because I did not have the time to go get him again when they inevitably sent him home. That is a very expensive approximately $40 a day for 2 to 3 hours of care at best. Every time they called me in front of a customer I put them on speakerphone as they kept interrupting my workday and every single client that heard them agreed that their behavior was absolutely unacceptable and even just from hearing their explanations was gross incompetence on their end not a problem with my child. I really hope they get it together, but I will no longer be recommending them to people and we are thankful to have found a much better option at a much lower price for a child with an equivalent educational expectation.
