Apex is a certified RainBird installer supposedly. After the installation of relocating my valves into a underground box I was able to inspect the quality of the work. Approaching the work area, the dirt from the hole was just piled onto my lawn, and as much as he could remove with the shovel, there was left a huge area of nothing but mud clogs caked into my lawn. The grass that he saved to fill in around the box after burying it was not enough to go all the way around. And parts of the box were not even buried back in at all. The dirt and grass that was used to fill in around the edge ran over into the lip where the lid goes on so the lid won't actually go on all the way properly. Large pieces of plastic left on the lawn. Overall very messy and possibly ruined a large portion of my lawn. Upon further inspection inside the box, All the valves we're buried halfway up or more in mud and covered in mud. Two of the valves are installed so close to the edge of the box that they are not serviceable. It looks like they could actually be installed under the box wall. Most of the tubing used is all buried under mud. The walls of the box where cutaway extensively. What they did would not fit inside of it. So they just cut the sides of the box away in the areas where it would not fit over things so that the box is basically sitting on top of valves. The box is even cut away on the sides from the bottom almost to the top for PVC coming up for the backflow valves. Which should be on the outside of the box. Now they're halfway in the box and halfway out the box. All of this cutting away leaves the inside of the box open to water coming in from all sides. All of the wires are left unexposed with twist caps instead of insulated liners, which can obviously cause a short. When confronted about these issues the installer stood by his work saying that his work was acceptable. That he sees installations like this all the time. That he even installs them all the time himself like that. He sent a photo to his supervisor apparently. And his supervisor apparently said that it was also acceptable. I asked the installer to have a supervisor call me so that I could talk to him. He responded by saying that it was really hard for him to get a hold of him in the first place and that he would call me tomorrow. I asked him if he could possibly try to get a hold of him because I would like to talk to him. Instead he left without saying he was even leaving. So I called rain Bird. Obviously rain Bird had a lot to say about everything that was wrong with this installation. I sent photos of the area, the dirt clods in the lawn, the poor installation of the box and replacement of the lawn, of the inside of the box, showing the wires and the mud, end of the valves being an accessible. Buried in the mud. They said that it was unacceptable installation practices. They said that they would work with me if Apex was unwilling to repair their bad workmanship. 8am, I called Apex again, I was told that the manager knew that I was expecting a call from him and that he would be calling me when he was free. I asked for him to be reached out to so he knew that I was waiting for my call. I also explain that my lawn was covered in mud.
I called back at 9am, still no call. The customer service was very rude telling me that I just needed to be patient, and that my problem was really not a big deal. I told her I would just come down so that I could talk to a supervisor since it didn't seem like anyone was concerned about calling me. They invited me to come down, and said it was just the two of them.
I arrived at the Apex location at 9:50am. I asked to have the supervisor called so I could talk to him. Which they did. When he got on the phone his attitude was automatically rude, telling me that I was harassing them and scaring the employees.
He told me I needed to leave his office and go home and wait for him to call me later in the day. That he has 5000 other customers to help first. I asked him instead if he would just set a time we could meet so I didn't have to continue to wait for his call. That's when he said he would just drop everything and come over now. This call ended at 9:55am. I made it back home by 10:10am.
I sent the update to rain Bird customer service about the contat I had with the supervisor.

Well, it's been an hour sitting at home waiting for him, when he said he would be right over. No communication. I called to see if something happened to him. Sin e he told me he was on his way and he would meete at my house. They couldn't get him on the phone to ask. But while I talked to them he called them back and said he was on his way. I asked if they had an estimate time and she said 10 minutes and actually hung the phone up on me.
