Secure Property Management as well as the owner of the house we rented did not give us back the deposit they said they would. They were hard to work with, unresponsive, the house was filthy, cobwebs everywhere, dust, fingerprints, mud, dirt, holes in the walls and on the floors and carpets. The toilet seats were also broken and gross, we replaced them with soft closing ones as soon as we moved in, Shower curtain rods since they were rusty and falling apart, and others. We had to have the carpets cleaned after we moved in since the house was such a disaster. We fixed some of the bigger holes since they would not. They said the owner did not want to be contacted and would not fix anything. When we moved in we called them to let them know how filthy the house was and they told us cleaning was subjective. We gave them a deposit of $2,400 this included a non-refundable pet deposit of $500 and a non-refundable leasing fee of $250 they gave us $1,000 back when they said it would be the full deposit of $1,650. It also took them over a month to return the $1,000 and only after we had called them about sending it. The house was 2143 Sego Street in West Haven, Utah. When we moved out we made sure it was cleaner than when we moved in and that the carpets were cleaned. We cleaned everything including the walls, windows, and carpets. Secure Property Management is not trustworthy, they will not give you back your money, are horrible to work with, and will not fix things. Do NOT rent, buy, or work with them! They will screw you over!
