They billed my mother $2238 for just seeing her in the ER. The billing provider didn't mind me paying without telling me that didn't include facility charges, which were less expensive even though they included actual work and exams done. When I called back billing, I was not given an explanation as to why the bill was so high since I'm not the patient, though it was ok to let me pay!
