"Difficult to assign a genre to this delightful story. Finally decided on a new one. Adult fairy tale. Elicited some of the same feelings while reading The Green Book of Fairy Tales, Blue Book of Fairy Tales, etc. in the public school library. Not since then have I experienced the same feelings reminiscent of a trip to an ice cream parlor on a special occasion. Bringing these feelings alive again makes Children of the Night by Lee Shamlian, a must read. Hopefully there are more tales such as these waiting to be expressed by this new author. Anticipate a sequel, perhaps a series." Review by BRN
