I would not recommend Liberty Rentals based on my experience with the handling of my security deposit.
After moving out, I received my security-deposit accounting and found charges that I dispute and do not believe were my responsibility. I notified Liberty Rentals in writing, explained the disputed charges, requested reimbursement, and later sent my dispute by certified mail so I would have documentation of the correspondence.
Liberty Rentals has not reimbursed me for the disputed amount, and the matter remains unresolved.
I have retained copies of my lease, communications, move-out information, deposit accounting, and certified-mail documentation. I am disappointed that I have had to continue pursuing this matter after moving out rather than being able to resolve the disputed charges directly with the company.
Based on my personal experience, I recommend that tenants keep detailed records throughout their tenancy, take thorough move-in and move-out photos and videos, save all communications, and carefully review any deductions from their security deposit.
