Indiana Montessori Community LLC Indiana Montessori Community School offers a preschool and kindergarten, program for children 2 1/2 through 6 years and will be offering an elementary program in the near future. Founder Indu Agnihotri has a bachelor’s degree in botany, chemistry, and zoology from India. She also has a degree in early education. After migrating from India in 1986, she received her Montessori certification from the American Montessori Society in 1988. After working with young children for 27 years, Indu started our sister school, Center Grove Montessori. The school quickly outgrew their original location and in 2011, they moved to their current building, conveniently located near the intersection of Smith Valley Road and U.S. 135. The new building affords much more space for each lesson area that is safe, comfortable and relaxing, with a dedicated before and after-school area. Opening in 2014 in Whiteland, the new school will initially offer curriculum for children up to age 6, eventually covering students up to age 12. Therefore, Indiana Montessori Community School can provide continuance for students who progress beyond preschool in other area Montessori schools.
