Hi, my name is Angela Knappenberger, and I am a Certified Infant and Toddler Sleep Consultant. I am committed to helping parents assist their children and babies in developing healthy sleep habits. With my BA in Special Education and Elementary Education, I have worked with children and their families for over 12 years in a variety of settings and have always excelled when I was helping others. I never understood the value of a good night’s sleep until it was no longer a part of my life. Like most first time moms, I did whatever I could to get my baby to sleep. This meant rocking her, nursing her, pacifying her, and tending to her during the many times she woke at night. My daughter’s poor sleeping habits became my poor sleeping habits and I was soon diagnosed with postpartum depression. I was all but ready to accept that my child just wasn't a good sleeper, when my doctor told me about the Sleep Sense program. Sleep Sense not only gave my daughter the gift of sleep, but it gave me back my sanity, my marriage, and so much more! Knappenberger Sleep Consulting is my service back to other families in the Bethlehem, PA area and beyond, helping them restore harmony back within their family, educate them on sleep, and support them as they teach their children independent sleep skills. I work collaboratively with parents creating individually tailored sleep plans to meet their children's sleep needs. The families I work with gain a large variety of sleep education as well as around the clock support as they teach their children independent sleep skills and rid them of children's sleep anxiety. I have a personal stake in my clients' success and not only offer them advice and support but also an understanding ear. I offer sleep training plans for any age. As you can imagine, the newborn sleep plan is far different from the toddler sleep plan. Each sleep anxiety plan takes into account the child's age, how long they can sleep without needing to eat, their ideal wake window, and specific character traits that play a role in their sleep. In addition to my individual consultations in-person, over the phone, or by Skype, I also do pediatric sleep group webinars and presentations, as well as in-home sleep deprivation coaching and support.
