We hired Craig several years ago to re-face our kitchen cabinets so when we needed a bathroom remodel we had him re do the whole thing. Once again it went very well and we are completely satisfied with the work. Thanks for all your help.

0 stars if possible. This is the same guy (Craig Cruz) who owned KC Cabinetry, and closed it when his reputation got bad enough. Hired him for a $140,000 kitchen remodel. He quoted 6 weeks, took 9 MONTHS and he never even finished. He didn't pull permits as required by the state, so lot of work had to be undone. His design had numerous functional flaws. His work "crew" consisted of 3 people, but only 1 of them would be at the house working on any given day with the exception of about 5 days total (hence why it took 9 months). There were many days no worker at all would show up with no notice because he had to pull them to another customer who was threatening him. Got on video admitting he used deposits I gave him to pay for other jobs that he had run out of money on.
Didn't even order our cabinets until 4 months in (probably cause he didn't have the cash), cabinets ended up having to be re-ordered because he screwed it up. He came to the job site precisely ONE time between the start of the project and about the 7 month mark when we started threatening litigation, which left my partner and I to handle project management. Lied about achieving certain milestones in order to unlock gated monies for the project. No attention to detail (shims under cabinets not stained, never ordered the right finials for our island even though he took money for it, didn't level out ceiling, which caused problems with the crown moulding, etc.). Occasionally had to hire outside contractors myself to do things like electrical or HVAC or stucco because he either didn't have a guy or else didn't have anybody who would work for him because he had stiffed them on money. Ordered some cabinets in solid wood and some with cheaper melamine, so they don't really match quite right. Gouged the heck out of our brand new hardwood floors and never repaired. Damaged our driveway with his dumpster and never repaired. Even though there was a dumpster, cleanup basically didn't happen, took us months of using our curb service to get rid of all the waste he left behind.
He used to have a showroom that looked pretty impressive, which is what suckered us in. Make no mistake, that attention to detail is not what you will get out of him. His designs for our kitchen looked great on paper, but there were just so many functional things he didn't account for (like not being able to open certain cabinets that hold bowls if the dishwasher door is open and being unloaded, heat shielding under cabinets that have appliances underneath, sealing the cabinet under our built in steamer, being able to navigate around the fridge if the door is open because the island was built so close to it, crown that didn't take into account the angled ceiling at one end of the kitchen which means the crown should have been lowered and cove lighting installed, etc.).
As if all this weren't bad enough, he left the house in a state where it was actually dangerous to use the kitchen. He had failed to properly install a reverse airflow system to account for the power of the range hood, which could have resulted in carbon monoxide poisoning. Then he refused to address it, so we had to hire someone else to do it.
Personality wise, he kept gaslighting and harassing my partner to the point that she refused to talk to him anymore. His workers shared stories of him yelling racial slurs at other customers, blowing up at various people, failing to pay, etc.
In the end, we're having to sue him for having to have a competent contractor come in and not only finish the work he never did, but fix problems with work they did do as well as remediate the fact that he never pulled a single permit for such a large amount of work. Just avoid this clown at all costs.
The kitchen ultimately came out beautifully, but the things people compliment us on are the things he had nothing to do with (the counters, backsplash, appliances, korbels, etc.)
