Watonga Cheese Factory was founded in 1940 in Watonga, Oklahoma. It was purchased in 2002 by Casey and Brandi Cowan. Then in 2007 tragedy struck when a horrific storm destroyed the factory. The City of Perryton, Texas offered incentives to the Cowans to rebuild there and the factory was re-opened in 2010.
