Jim was unprofessional, unreliable, and failed to supervise construction of our pool. Jim was always full of excuses. Our pool Is no where near finished even though we were told we’d be swimming in July. It is not built to required city code. The gunite shell was extremely miss shaped with wall widths that vary widths of 5-6”. The plumbing return line was barely inside the gunite and had to be moved so it could be tiled. According to estimates we’ve obtained it’s going to cost us $20,000 more than the contract price to fix and finish our pool. Due to money we paid Jim upfront, having to buy dirt since he hauled ours off against our request, and doing corrections required per code. It is my opinion that Jim lacked the resources to build the kind of pool we were promised, he set unrealistic expectations from the beginning to get our money and a contract. He missed multiple meetings where we had taken off work, rescheduled appointments, or changed plans to meet with him. Our job seemed to be of no priority to him. He was too busy with new sales meetings to meet with us or the sub contractors he sent to our home. Majority of his contractors were unprofessional, and most seemed very dissatisfied with Jim. Jim raised a great concern about the gunite shell integrity, warranty and tile placement moments before demand for payment. Saying we were in breach of contract for not paying at that time and walking off our job. Jim has not sent us his general liability policy per our request and we have yet to receive the release of contract he told us he was sending weeks ago.
