I was seeing Jonna for over 3 years for treatment of depression. Being that this was my first time to a therapist I had nothing to base my progress on but I do know that during those 3 years I was not feeling any better. Sessions were light and skimmed the surface. Lots of discussions around her problems as well but she seemed to care so I stuck with it. Turns out 'seemed to care' is the right choice of words. I had a particularity low spot in my depression and turns out she actually needed to do her job and help me which her response to me needing help was to send me a letter in the mail 2 days before my next appointment saying I was too depressed and I needed to find another therapist. No offer to help me find anyone, no face to face meeting letting me know she wouldn't work with me anymore. Left out in the cold and on my own when I really needed help. Find someone else who really knows their profession and is there to help others.
