I moved back into my home on 5/30/2020, the pandemic delayed my return to Houston. My home was damaged from Hurricane Harvey . I was going to sell it as is, but decided to employ a contractor, Kraken Construction, LLC to do and oversee the reconstruction and repairs. One of the partners, Will Fisher lives in my neighborhood and his home had also been flooded. I met his partner, Leslie Kane who also seemed sincere and helpful. I had relocated to Dallas temporarily while my home was being repaired. W.Fisher refused to do a walk through.He said that I had come in multiple times from Dallas to see their work and progress . I have not had the experience of overseeing the extent of this kind of repair work having to be done on my home before.I have also noticed a lot of the issues after I moved back into my home. He has refused to provide any information and warranties related to air conditioning and concrete work.There are issues relating to poor workmanship on drywall and electrical work. They did not trim out the baseboard, so bugs can easily come out between the molding and tile floor. The garage door opener separated from the wall shortly after I moved back in, doors do not close, one of the locks on the French door does not work, the doorbell was not replaced, shelves in the closets were not replaced leaving bare walls, a closet pole is falling, he did not provide me with mold certification as repeatedly promised, a tree in my backyard is partially painted white, there is paint on a new bathroom fixture, the front door and one of the French doors have paint residue, there is a hole on a side of my front door and in outside wood trim , etc.Statements that he had emailed are impossible to follow because they have invoice/ estimate numbers that are not consecutive. I was owed a large credit for appliances that is hard to confirm and monetary charges for some work differ from statement to statement. I have consulted with a lawyer to review my options and will proceed because W. Fisher has refused to respond and address any of these issues. I hired W. Fisher and L. Kane as contractors to oversee the project and hire craftsmen that can do their job properly. Obviously, for the above cases this was not done.
