Sunnyvale is a joke
They "spray for bugs" every month and yet the apartments are infested with cockroaches, mice, wolf spiders, and brown recluse spiders. We also had a giant gap in the door that we brought to their attention after our electric bill was $300 (for a 2 bedroom bottom floor apartment). They told us it was Evergy's fault. We decided to fix the gap ourselves after a snake got in.
They held back $250 from our deposit from paint not matching (every touch up seems to be a different paint all over the apartment), and dusty ceilings that we complained about when we moved in. (After ignoring calls for a month until we brought up the lease stating they have 30 days to return our deposit)
We also had video proof of 7+ people living above us, videos of the noise that we kept complaining about, and Sunnyvale did absolutely nothing for us. The noise was intolerable, ranging from 6am-2am. We were told that the walls and floors were thin, yet we had no issues with neighbors beside us. In no way did Sunnyvale hold anyone accountable for breaking the lease terms, quiet environment and a limit on the amount of people that can live in each bedroom.
I've rented two different apartment properties from them. They are terrible at communicating (like when my first apartment with them had the laundry room electricity shut off for weeks, the dumpster was completely missing for days, and water being shut off to buildings,) literally only care about making money (not the lives or any amount of consideration for people they're getting it from), and are overall the WORST property management I've ever dealt with.
DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.
We have yet to receive our deposit from them and will be contacting a lawyer if this remains the case for much longer.
