I called KD Midway Termite because they claimed to offer 24/7 phone service. The owner, who is Korean, answered my questions about termites. He told me that spot treatments are useless and that the only proper way is to tent the whole house. I explained that I'm a tenant, not the homeowner, and that I would discuss it with my landlord. When I mentioned that my landlord refuses to take care of the termite problem and that I might have to talk to him again, the owner shockingly said that the landlord has no obligation to handle termites. When I told him that, legally in California, termite issues are the landlord's responsibility, he suddenly said he didn't want to talk anymore and hung up on me. This is one of the rudest and most unprofessional businesses I've ever encountered. The owner was dismissive, ignorant about tenant laws, and incredibly disrespectful. I strongly recommend not using this company-there are plenty of other termite services that actually know the law and treat customers with respect.
