TAB Construction built a home for me in 2015. The job was poor quality. I took him (Tony Basinger) to small claims court, where I was basically forced to get a lawyer, because he had one, and I had to find a professional that was willing to go to court, and confirm my complaint. Tony attempted to counter sue me on false claims. I won a $5,000 settlement. I then had to pay my lawyer. I complained to the Board of Contractors about the work. They came to the house and did an inspection, where building violations were found. It took 2 years for him to go in front of the board, where he pled guilty to gross negligence associated with the building of my home. He was told by the Board that he has to pass a building code course within a year, or his license will be suspended. I wanted to take him to district court to get back the thousands of dollars I am out, but that is impossible. Builders will not testify against one another. It is also very expensive, and the cost and the time would not be worth it. I suggest to anyone building a home to do your homework. Do not pay in full, until you have an inspection. I would not want anyone else to go through what I did. I hope this helps.
