I don't know much about heating or air conditioning but I know people. I can usually tell if an individual is being honest within the first 2-3 minutes of listening. That's really the key, listen, and don't interrupt. The good ones will usually answer exactly what I've inquired about, then add a small bit of additional information. They will be as focused on what I'm saying or asking as I am on their answer/solution to my problem. Them guys and gals at Dennis Patterson HVAC Inc. listen. No sales pitches or time wasting bullcrap. Every time I have had an issue with my older system that one of the larger Hvac company's sold me 10 years ago, Dennis and his men have responded quicker than the company who sold me the thing originally. The gals in the have always been polite and quick about getting my information and scheduling my service call. Now they will generally recommend I sign up for a service plan thing, prevent maintenance because I've called them every year for the past 4 years and their plan supposed to save me a few dollars compared to just calling when it messes up, but here's how I know they are genuine good folks, they just want me to Have my system serviced so I don't end up without cooling on a 90 degree day like has happened a couple times and they don't care who I use to service the system, as long as about about 15 major points are addressed and they have actually walked me through their inspection and cleaning procedures twice. Incase I wanted to do myself. Most of the things are simple and I'd have no problem doing safely except for the electrical testing and Freon checking. But hell, why would I do it myself when I have found my HVAC MAN and his name is Dennis Patterson. Prompt and professional, experienced and honest. Well, that's my review on Dennis Patterson HVAC Inc. based on doing a lot of listening in the beginning I've found my HVAC boys .
