Steve Knight was born and raised in Fort Smith, AR. Steve Knight is the son of Bill Knight, a retired Fort Smith fireman. He started working in the siding and window business in 1978. Steve Knight formed K & M Construction in 1987 with a good friend. Once Steve Knight and his partner parted ways, he decided to keep the original name of K & M Construction because business was booming.
