Flooring contractors submit estimates or bids on proposed jobs. They must accurately calculate labor and materials to successfully bid on jobs. Contractors who hire workers are responsible for handling payroll and other management duties. Contractors can choose to incorporate, do business as sole proprietors, or form partnerships with others.
