Same Situation as so many others on here ! I was Approached by BOB a Partner of Scott Driscoll of (SJR Enterprises LLc) same as SJR contracting LLc . Amiee Driscoll listed as owner from a web site Porch.com that states that all their contractors were vetted and screened to be A+ ( that became a total scam ) on meeting w/ Bob he assured me that all permits and Materials would be processed in a week and work would start in two weeks ! and that they needed ten percent deposited in their Bank of America account the next day .Bob was Told that I was from out of town and need a trusting contractor being I would not be available at the site. A month later and no response from Bob I then heard from Scott Driscoll with multiple excuses! Scott Driscoll showed at job site a month later with a Dumpster ( that wasn't even payed for) within a few hours Scott Driscoll states he need another $10.000.00 deposited into his account? back in forth with texts and I was asking for pictures of completed ...

I signed a contract with SJR (Scott Driscoll, Bob Decker) in January of 2019 to the tune of $46,000. The contract was to build out 1 unit in a 3-family. Thus began a nightmare that continues to this day. I cannot understand how a company like this is still in business. Scott had signed on to do a Homestyle bank loan. This requires the contractor to complete items of work and get reimbursed with a bank draw. He swore up and down that he's done these before and he knows how they work. Well you can guess what happened. He didn't even have the money to start the project, and convinced me to give him a total of $13,000 up front. Who knows what he did with that money. It was gone within 2 weeks and once again the project was at a standstill. This went on for 4 months. In addition to that: - Workmanship was poor. Crew had failed city inspections and had to redo large parts of the project. Crooked windows, incorrect door framing, uneven concrete slab, and much more. - WorkeSJR Contracting

Additional Business Information
On July 2, 16, 31 and August 6, 2019, BBB attempted to contact SJR Contracting regarding a high volume and a pattern of serious complaints. During the past 36 months, BBB received 11 complaints regarding payments for work not performed or incomplete. The business failed to respond to seven complaints through BBB's complaint process. Complaints state the company collected deposits for work ranging from $6,250 to $89,000, with an average of $33,902.
BBB notified SJR Contracting of these complaints and asked them for cooperation to eliminate the pattern. We asked for a written response outlining the steps it would take to avoid similar complaints in the future.
BBB also requested additional information, including: Federal Employer Identification number (EIN), the names and full contact information of the company's principal officers and management, copies of contracts, including if work is done by subcontractors and if customers are notified, the physical address of its principal office, copies of required competency and/or tradesman's licensing, and a completed BBB Standard Business Questionnaire.
To date (August 6, 2019), the company responded that we need to reach out to an attorney handling this matter. We have not heard from SJR Contracting or an attorney.
BBB is also unable to verify any contractor's or tradesman's licenses required for services such as stairlift installation. BBB urges consumers to use caution based on complain
