Honstein Oil was formed in 1982 to distribute fuels and lubricants in the northern New Mexico area. The company began as a partnership between Rod Honstein and Rod’s father, the late Roy Honstein. Roy had been a Chevron distributor since the late 1950’s in Espanola. Honstein Oil began its operations in Santa Fe and moved to its present location on Airport Road in 1990.
