Horrible experience. She doesn't understand you have to center the quilt on the backing, so I had to hand sew 1.5 inches of backing back onto it after she quilted it, before I could bind it. She asked for a certain number of inches of backing extra around the quilt top on each of the 4 sides. That's normal. I always make sure to add a couple extra to this number for leeway. I get my quilt back. She charged me extra because she said I hadn't added the extra. Ok, that was a little aggravating, but I didn't argue. But then, I got home. She had placed the quilt all the way up to one corner of the batting and quilted it that way. So she's right, there was no extra backing on 2 edges...but there's double the width on the other two edges! Because she placed the quilt wrong, not because I didn't add the extra she wanted. Worst of all, the backing didn't even come up to the edge of the quilt. I had to add 1.5 inches of backing by hand on one edge before I could bind it. I will never go back.
