Dr. Bret Adams grew up in the Washington, DC suburbs and completed his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of Richmond. He went on to obtain both his MD and PhD at the Medical College of Virginia/VCU School of Medicine, focusing his research on developing drugs to improve the effectiveness of radiation. Dr. Adams completed an internship in medicine at VCU and his radiation oncology residency training at Jackson Memorial Hospital/Sylvester Cancer Center in South Florida. During his training at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Dr. Adams served as chief resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology.
