Al is a nice guy, but that is where it stops. He has the ability to make you believe whatever he says. In fact he makes you feel foolish if you don't believe him. I would love to recommend him, but unfortunately, he does not follow through, he makes excuses and flat out lies. Our home was damaged in Hurricane Ian. We live out of state, so trying to manage things from afar was not easy and Al's inability to do what he says he is going to do has caused a lot of stress. He promised everything would be done end of February but based on my experience with construction I did not think it was possible. We have rentals and I am a realtor so I am very well versed in time frames. I have never had an issue with a contractor in the past. However Al reassured me over and over the house would be done. It is now July and he still is not done. He has been paid for everything (my error) and he promises he will finish on a certain date but he doesn't show up when he says he will nor does he call to say he won't be there. On the rare occasion he does show up he will do part of the job but can't finish because he didn't buy the right parts or he didn't buy enough of the parts. Then getting him back to finish the project is next to impossible. There are also lots of little things around the house that were not done properly or they were cheap parts he used that have already failed and he needs to fix them. He rarely responds to my text messages and rarely answer my calls. In fact, I tried to get him to get in touch with me before I posted this review. In fact, he had the courage to call me last Friday to ask for a Google Review. I told him I would be happy to once the work was done. I told him he would not like the review I would leave at this time. He didn't understand why I wouldn't leave him a good Google Review. I truly wish I could give him a glowing review, but unfortunately, in the end he is not a man of his word and I would never use him again.
