PSA - Do not do business with Appliance Outlet Center located at 1484 Gulf to Bay Blvd in Clearwater. Phone numbers are 727-482-2832 and 727-417-7629. The owner is James Holecek (https://www.facebook.com/james.holecekiv.96 ) and his tech/sales guy is Stephen Robinson (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100045439578980 ) We gave Stephen $300 for a used washer/dryer and he promised same day delivery as soon as his delivery person returned back to the store. We got promise after promise on delivery and have never received our washer/dryer. We called the Clearwater PD in order to make a report and have now found out that they have been scamming people for quite sometime and that James Holecek has been arrested for this NUMEROUS times in the past and he was just recently arrested in mid-October for the same crime. As of today, there are THIRTY victims. The PD is turning the case over to the State Attorney tomorrow morning. Stephen has made a deal to testify against James in order to not be prosecuted. Stephen is claiming that everything he did was at James' direction and that James was blackmailing him by stating that he would kick him out of the apartment he was renting from him if he did not cooperative with the scam. It is said that we will get some type of restitution as he will probably make a deal bur it will be nothing near the $300 that we are out.
