On May 27, 2021 we contracted with Steve Martinez with SK Shower Doors at 3705 Windomere Drive, Bedford TX 76021, to purchase 2 pieces of frameless inline custom height shower glass with Orb hardware and Enduroshield protective coating for a total of $1569.63. We paid Steve $1176 by Zelle which was a 75% deposit before glass would be ordered. We had 2 referrals from several years ago that were very pleased, so we felt compelled to give him a chance. He claimed to be having trouble financially and needed the 75% upfront to be able to purchase the glass. We then paid him an additional $110 by Zelle on June 8 because he needed more money to pay the full amount to pick up our glass from Waterfall Bath Enclosures in Carrolton, TX. On June 9, Steve delivered glass to us in the back of his truck on top of pieces of wood with no blankets or protective covering. They were both scratched and chipped with one piece too short to fit because he ordered the wrong size, and neither piece of glass could not be installed. He left with our glass, promising to reorder the glass for installation the following week, but he has given us excuse after excuse for 4 months and hasn't been back. Bottom line, we tried to help a guy keep his business going during hard Covid times, and we got screwed. This man has made countless excuses and empty promises to "be there tomorrow," and now he is unresponsive to our requests. We have reported him to BBB, but we don't want any future customers to experience the same frustration and dishonesty we have had with this unreliable company.
