Melaninternet is a Decentralized Internet that's entirely hosted on the computers, smart phones, tablets and smart tv's of it's users by utilizing their Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, unused storage space and unused bandwidth. The current Traditional styled Internet is hosted on giant internet servers which makes it unreliable, unsecure and inefficient. Melaninternet will provide a more reliable, secure and efficient internet since it doesn't rely on giant Internet Servers. Melaninternet uses a Mesh Network, which is a network composed of devices or "nodes". Every device on the network (computers, smart phones, tablets and smart tv's of it's users) would become a node that connects into a layer of Internet infrastructure. Data is passed between the nodes to create a mesh (also called a net or web) of devices that share the workload of computing the network. All information on the Melaninternet program is encrypted and then broken up into pieces across the network so that when the user wants to access a piece of information, they can quickly retrieve it from the network through saved caches, similar to how a bit torrent works. The Melaninternet program does not sell or harvest any private/personal user information because this application is meant to be a full freedom internet experience. Melaninternet allows you to build websites with our super easy to use website builder templates, in addition to viewing websites on this platform. Melaninternet has a Video Conference feature to communicate with other users. The Melaninternet also has a Non-Social Media option where users can post and or view Photo/Videos without the option of messages, comments or viewed likes. Studies have indicated that many social media users have increased risk for depression, anxiety, loneliness, self-harm, and even suicidal thoughts so a Non-Social Media styled Photo / Video sharing option would be healthier for the mental health of it's users.
