Buyer beware. I contacted this company 3 days ago for a quote for several units I was looking at affordable housing options for my growing family. I found his ad on Facebook Marketplace and today I text him I am going to pass & blocked his number. I didn't want to explain myself. He is pushy. Joey, the owner, called me from an unblocked number and wanted to know why Im passing and I told him - "I just decided to pass lets leave it at that" He badgered me for an answer and I told him to even answer that question will not do anything because I decided not to buy from him. He still demanded to know why I changed my mind, when I gave it to him, the truth, he insulted me & called me a "nut job". I hung up & blocked the other number before he could say anything else. You, the potential buyer, decide for yourself. In my due diligence I learned that John "Joey" Mdonald has: #1 No real purchase contract whatsoever. # 2 No written warranty whatsoever. # 3 Records show he HAS NOT been selling tiny homes on Maui for 15 years nor has his model been parked there that long across from the ocean. #4 He has no kind of contractors license such as excavation, electric, roofing, plumbing, welding.... none in any state of public record but he does have an expired captain's license. Im posting the quote w/ the prices redacted but does show he's bidding without a license for re-roofing my home and to install solar. He claims this document is his legal contract by itself. #5 He's disrespectful of a person's time and extremely pushy for a cash deposit. He said he'd be here 1st thing in the morning to see the site & was a no call no show until I texted him. He then informed me he is in a hurry to get back to his own property he just bought and is working on. #6 I saw he raised his price $19k from last year on the same units I was looking at and repeatedly told me he's not making any money on the deal. Baloney- no one works for free. #7 I highly doubt he owns the manufacturing plant in Thailand he claims he personally designs and manufactures his own private line to my roommate & I in our initial meeting. I don't buy it, especially with no written warranty of the electrical, sewage... #8 When reviewing his google reviews I saw that most of his 5 star reviews are from himself, his staff, his family or friends. Thats misleading. #9 No delivery date, no plot map quote, just "trust me" - Thats a red flag along with the fact he's an LLC #9 Records show he is a former Kratom manufacturer and dealer up until he decided in 2017 to get into tiny homes. No thanks. #10 No means no. I'll pass means just that. It's not an opportunity for an actual stranger to bully and name call because I did my due diligence and concluded I didn't trust him. Really no respect for women at all. He's a bully. Im not a Karen. I am a CEO and quite capable of making my own business decisions. My professional conclusion is he is not someone I would trust. Name calling bullying just confirmed it. Identify's as black owned? Must be an error.
