Joy's House mission: serve adults living with life-altering diagnoses and their families by providing exceptional adult day and caregiver services. We have two locations in Indianapolis - one location is in the heart of Broad Ripple, and one location is on the southside of the city, next to the University of Indianapolis campus. We are open weekdays from 8am until 5pm. Joy’s House provide a safe, nurturing, and social environment for caregivers to take their loved one during the day. At Joy’s House we call our clients “Guests,” invoking a feeling of compassion and care that is a tangible part of our culture. Our Guests are living with challenges related to basic aging as well as various diagnoses such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, Down syndrome, post-stroke, and more. Approximately 98% of our Guests are living with at least one diagnosis. Of these, over 70% have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia. Typically, Joy's House's Guests live at home with a caregiver who is an adult child, spouse, or other family member. The caregiver often has to work or simply needs a break from caregiving and is searching for a safe environment for their loved one during the day.
