Meridian's only authentic Cajun restaurant. Owned and operated by Dobi and Marie Melancon, both native Cajuns from southwest Louisiana. Dobi uses some of his Mother's recipes and some of Marie's Grandmother's recipes. Dobi's famous chicken and sausage gumbo (sold by the cup, bowl or to-go quart) is a local favorite. We serve several delicious poboys (on Gambino's french bread, of course!), as well as alligator, fresh gulf shrimp, crawfish, oysters, and soft-shell crab. Our "Alphonse" sauce is a Cajun flaired cream sauce which has been perfected to a just-right blend of flavors, served over pasta . All dinners come with a salad and choice of hand-cut Cajun Fries or regular fries. We have many sandwich choices, including Meridian Star's Peoples' Choice Best Hamburger. Try us!
