The worst contractor I have dealt with and I'm in the industry. Big hail storm the previous year and a neighbor let me know about this company. The beginning was fine, they were attentive as they needed to converse with Insurance directly. All was okay until the final check was in the works and I could not calculate what they wanted in payment and no way to clarify. They literally harassed the heck out of me with constant phone calls, and refused to keep things in writing with texts/email. I let them know I would await a final invoice before releasing the final payment, and they showed up pounding on my door to try physical intimidation. I was not home, I was at work and not able to comply with their threats on the phone or in person and I wanted to keep the conversation in writing. Salazar then stopped all communication for 4 weeks while they scrambled to come up with the correct invoice. Their response was just to pay it, they know what their doing, or else they will lien my home. We went rounds with the PM and owner, they would only threaten to lien my property and to take their word for it, they claimed 4 different amounts owed, but they know what their doing. Fast forward a month of back and forth with Insurance to clarify, and weirdly their math was indeed wrong and they were demanding more payment than was allocated for the repairs. I got a we're sorry for the inconvenience email and another incorrect payment amount with another threat to lien my home if payment was not received in 5 days. Looking further now, they supplied photos of somebody else's home to claim amounts on my claim for things like installing Ice and Water Barrier, along with saying they removed and replaced the gutter as it connected through the drip edge. I take a photo of not a single screw through the drip edge, actually just bent around the screws and looks/functions terrible, and I send it to the owner to show his quality work, and proof they did not do what they said and were attempting to bill me for. So then the owner said they should bill for it, but they'll waive it this time and the final payment does not include those line items, but again demands I pay within 5 days or they are pursuing legal actions the final check was again updated and is currently in the mail, I have not even received it yet at the time of this review, but I have 5 days to pay them or else. The legal actions I am now pursuing are allegations of Insurance Fraud and some extreme harassment and coercive business practices to try and collect incorrect payment amounts using intimidation if they see fit. If you do use this company, demand an accurate invoice after work is completed prior to sending ANY final payments, and do your due diligence to ensure the amount they are asking for is correct. I'm scheduling another contractor to perform an inspection and will update you with those findings as well.
