In a nutshell: The agreement started off great. David seemed to know what he was talking about when it came to our bathroom remodel. Things didn't fall apart until we gave him a deposit. First quoted at 25% of the total and then became more than double that because he couldn't cover materials. He cashed our check and all communication came to a halt a few days later. After about a week of nothing, an anonymous person responded to our FB messages stating David was in the hospital. In the meantime our water leak destroyed our living room ceiling. We reached out in a panic numerous times. Eventually after 3 weeks we had to move forward and hire someone else. Out of the blue David reappeared as if nothing had happened and stated he was ready to start in a few days. No explanation. We had to let him know that since we knew nothing about his reason for hospitalization and had no idea when he would be able to work we had to have the problems fixed. He said he was in the hospital for 10 days but yet it was 3 weeks before he contacted us. We are out the additional money we spent on having the dumpster delivered with the assumption work was to begin. We are also out the additional funds that it is costing us to replace 1/4 of the living room ceiling and other damaged walls from the shower leak. Still have not received our full refund. David claimed he had to "move some money around". Bottom line, he flat out cashed our check and spent our money. Beware of his sketchy antics. Like requesting the check be made out directly to him and not the business. We have filed a complaint with our lawyer and it's really unfortunate that it had to come to this. Please be sure to do your research before hiring this guy.
