Raised by a medical oncologist in upstate New York, Dr. Michael Poiesz (Poyz) has always been a focused individual interested in medicine. Dr. Poiesz earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, where he majored in Molecular and Cell Biology and received academic acknowledgement on the Deans List. He then moved to Syracuse, New York to earn his medical degree from State University of New York College of Medicine, where he received recognition for excellence in scholarly research. Upon receiving his Doctor in Medicine, Dr. Poiesz was invited to complete a residency of internal medicine at the renowned Tufts Medical College. During this time, Dr. Poiesz became extensively involved in his research and was recognized for his excellence in teachings.
